We've made 2.2" 2wd buggy foam tires! For these, we had carpet oval in mind, specifically the new Losi 22s Sprint car. It doesn't have to stop there though. We're hoping this new tire option might rekindle interest in some of the other 2wd buggy based classes like Street Stock, Mini Mudboss (Traxxas Bandit based), and the slew of buggy conversion cars like late models, EDM, Sprint, and Midget classes. They should fit most any 12mm hex 2wd buggy platform including the Team Associated B6, B7, RB10, SR10, SR10M, Losi 22, etc.
Maybe they'll also be popular for clay, offroad, or pavement? Time will tell. Right now we only have one compound, but more might be possible in the future if there is enough demand.
These foam tires feature a large diameter wheel that is 12mm hex, with similar offset to most rubber buggy tires. The OD is just a hair shorter than the average rubber tire, while keeping a lower profile foam carcass. This should limit the amount you would need/want to true the tires right out of the package - just bolt on and race!

Tech Note: For those running black CRC carpet, our initial testing was limited to gray carpet due to area tracks being closed for the summer. We saw no issues. On black carpet, we see much more grip, so much so that there have been a couple isolated reports of the wall of the hex having the nut start to pull through on the right front. The wall of the hex is in-line with thicknesses on other wheels but this only seems to be an issue on black carpet. The solution to this, for now, is to run a m5x12mm washer on the outside of the wheel before the nut which are included.
